According to available information it is the oldest still functioning sauna in Helsinki that is open to the public.

The seafront and the stunning setting of the hospital park offer a unique sauna experience in the heart of the city. The sauna is less than 100 metres from the beach.

The sauna fits up to 10 people at a time. Please note that the sauna changing room is shared by all users. The changing room is equipped with a hairdryer and a fridge.

Respectful conversation
Friendly chatting with new and old acquaintances is always welcome. However, discriminatory, insulting, or offensive language and topics do not belong in the sauna. Silence is also completely acceptable.

Caring promotes safety
Be considerate of others in the sauna. If an unsafe situation or any kind of harassment occurs, anyone can intervene and help by offering support to the person affected, contacting the sauna attendant or calling the emergency number 112. Feedback can be sent to: [email protected].

Consider crowds

Leave on time

The sauna attendant is here to help
Always follow the instructions of the sauna attendant, who represents Lapinlahden Lähde as a volunteer. Feel free to ask for help and advice if you’re new to the sauna, or if you have any questions on sauna culture and customs in general.
