Meet Lapinlahti people: Anne Korhonen and Tanja Parantainen from Teatteri Ilmiö

Ihmisiä Lähteellä Anne Korhonen ja Tanja Parantainen Teatteri Ilmiöstä

It’s a warm summer day 7.7. in the yard of Lapinlahden Lähde. Just a moment ago, Schubert’s melodies, sung by Tuula Vuolle, echoed through this beautiful courtyard as part of our group exhibition Kohtaamisia ja kohtaamattomuutta, which we have just taken down from the Corridor Gallery in Lapinlahden Lähde.

The exhibition was a part of Theater ILMI Ö’s “Klassikko(i)lla on asiaa” community theater project. The artists in charge of the project, Anne Korhonen, Tanja Parantainen, Outi Sädekallio-Snellman along with Kohtaamisia ja kohtaamattomuutta group exhibition contributors Pirjo Akkanen, Heidi Johanna Sandborg, Riitta Virkki and Tuula Vuolle, along with art club participants Tuula Andersin, Anu Haarala, Tiiu Mager, Riitta Nikkilä, Elle Palmpuu, and Liisa Vähäjylkkä give their warm thanks to Lapinlahden Lähde.

The wonderful place and the people in it provided opportunities for memorable encounters: both personal and collective. The themes of the exhibition: identity and the effects of the covid times to it, survival, and encounters and non-encounters got people talking and generated great dialogues.

Thank you for all meaningful encounters 22.5.-7.7.2021. Our feelings are calm, happy in this moment, this place. Thank you Lapinlahden Lähde.

In the picture we are having ice cream, and the lamp is on the table because we were taking apart the exhibition.
