Näyttelyn avajaiset pidetään perjantaina 4.9. klo 15–17. Lämpimästi tervetuloa!

“Loppuun palanut– näyttely sai alkunsa omasta uupumiskokemuksestani. Vaikeimpana hetkenä aloin purkaa tunteitani runoksi, ja pian syntyi myös ensimmäinen maalaus, Pettymys. Sen jälkeen runot ja maalaukset alkoivat kulkea rinnakkain uupumuksen ja toipumisen eri vaiheissa. Maalauksien ja runojen syntymisvaiheessa en suunnitellut niiden esille tuomista ja maalaukset on tehty juuri sillä hetkellä saatavilla olleille pohjille.

Näyttely kertoo loppuun palamisesta ja hitaasta toipumisesta. Tekstit ja teokset ovat syntyneet paljaista, joskus synkistäkin ajatuksista, mutta niiden mukana kulkee myös Toivo.

Haluan antaa näyttelylläni äänen loppuun palaneille, lisätä ymmärrystä läheisissä ja työyhteisöissä sekä muistuttaa, että toipuminen on mahdollista, – päivä kerrallaan.”

TAITEILIJAESITTELY

Olen Rebekka Jylhä, Kuusamossa syntynyt sisustaja, taiteilija ja perheenäiti. Taiteen tekeminen on mukautunut elämäni eri vaiheisiin. Luonto, tunteet ja värien vuoropuhelu ovat työssäni keskiössä.

Teen pääasiassa akryylimaalauksia ja olen viime aikoina innostunut myös polttotaiteesta. Työskentelen vapaasti eri tyylien ja menetelmien välillä. Rakastan myös kirjoittamista.

Haluan, että taiteeni herättää ajatuksia ja tunteita. Mitä pidemmäksi aikaa pysähdyt työni äärelle, sitä paremmin koen onnistuneeni.

“The exhibition Burned Out was born from my own experience of burnout. During the most difficult period, I began processing my feelings through poetry, and soon the first painting, Disappointment, was born as well. From then on, the poems and paintings began to develop alongside each other through different stages of burnout and recovery. When the texts and paintings were created, I had no plans to exhibit them, and the paintings were made on whatever surfaces happened to be available at the time.

The exhibition tells a story of burnout and the slow process of recovery. The texts and works have emerged from raw, sometimes dark thoughts, but running alongside them is also Hope.

Through this exhibition, I want to give a voice to those who have experienced burnout, increase understanding among loved ones and within work communities, and remind us that recovery is possible — one day at a time.”

ARTIST BIO

I am Rebekka Jylhä, an interior designer, artist and mother born in Kuusamo. Making art has adapted to the different stages of my life. Nature, emotions and the dialogue between colours are at the heart of my work.

I mainly work with acrylic paints and have recently become interested in pyrography as well. I move freely between different styles and techniques. I also love writing.

I want my art to evoke thoughts and emotions. The longer you stop and spend time with my work, the more successful I feel I have been.
