Our first Jam Jar of the autumn features solo and collaborative performances from:

Baraka Issabu (piano, voice)

The Jam Jar Sessions, co-created with students of Sibelius Academy’s Global Music students, aims to shake up the typical concert format, with collaborations and solo performances between participating musicians picked from a jam jar at random by the audience. The series showcases some of the incredible diversity of talent among Sibelius Academy’s Global Music community, while also helping to forge new connections, experience, and professional opportunities between Global Music students and the wider creative community.

This season’s concerts are part of Nomads Festival 2026

Interkult is a cultural hub whose mission is to promote interculturalism and equality through art and culture. During this year’s series, each event will feature one established artist from outside Sibelius Academy’s Global Music community, selected by Interkult.
